Your community needs your voice at the table. Since 1986, the Hispanic Leadership Institute has prepared Latino leaders to reshape who holds power in Arizona. We don't teach you to fit into existing systems. We prepare you to change them.

With four HLI programs across Arizona, including Phoenix, East Valley, West Valley, and Pinal, you'll connect directly with the state's top executives, policymakers, and education leaders while building practical skills in board governance and community advocacy.

Applying to HLI means committing to your community and your own growth as a leader. Review the details below to understand the timeline, investment, and what we ask of participants:

Application Requirements: Along with your completed online application, you’ll include your current resume and one letter of recommendation.
Selection Process: You'll complete an online application and participate in a 30-minute interview where we discuss your leadership goals and community commitment.
Investment: Program participation costs range from $550 to $1,500, depending on the program. This covers your full curriculum, mandatory retreat, and lifetime access to our statewide alumni network.
Time Commitment: Programs require weekly attendance and completion of a mandatory leadership retreat. Specific dates are confirmed upon acceptance.

Each cohort is limited in size to ensure deep connection and personalized attention. Full participation matters because leadership development happens through consistent engagement with your peers and Arizona's decision-makers. The skills you build and relationships you form will serve your community for years to come.
